PRATI AREA, ROME (Italy)

A MODERN RENOVATION WITH COMPLETE FURNISHINGS

We refurbished an apartment on the fifth floor of a private residential building on Via della Giuliana, in Rome’s elegant Prati district. We designed the interiors in a minimalist, contemporary style, and also designed and made the furniture.

The building dates to the late 1960s. The apartment had been refurbished previously, but the new owners were not satisfied with the result.

The clients asked us to maximise the layout in order to create two bedrooms and two bathrooms. As the property is not large, we created a single open living area with an open-plan kitchen, leading out to a small private terrace.

Through careful space planning, the sleeping area was fully separated from the living area, successfully accommodating two bedrooms accessed via a small hallway, which also serves both bathrooms.

Oak flooring and white walls were chosen to maximise brightness throughout. The terrace was finished in dark porcelain stoneware to create contrast with the building’s ochre-yellow façades.

Furniture follows a modern language and is predominantly white to keep the compact spaces feeling light; darker accents were introduced to create contrast.

We carried out the works with our technical studio ING. GABRIELE D’AMORE for interior design and furniture, and our company AGL D’AMORE S.R.L. for delivery. The project took a total of four months.
