REDEVELOPMENT OF THE EXTERIOR SPACES OF AN EMBASSY
We designed the external areas of an embassy on Via Ostriana, in Rome’s Quartiere Africano, aiming to create green spaces with minimal environmental impact. The project transformed previously neglected areas into functional landscaped zones for the embassy.
A garden that was completely abandoned was converted into staff parking, using a grassed system that allows vehicles to drive over the surface.
The entrance areas, previously finished in unattractive concrete, were upgraded with porphyry paving and large planted beds.
Creating the new parking provision allowed an old garage to be decommissioned and converted into a reception area for visitors to the embassy’s public offices. The forecourt was also upgraded into an outdoor amenity area, with porphyry paving, seating and a canopy.
We carried out the works with our technical studio ING. GABRIELE D’AMORE for design and permits, and our company AGL D’AMORE S.R.L. for delivery. The overall duration of the design phase was 3 months.
