CONSERVATIVE RESTORATION
PARIOLI AREA, ROME (Italy)
A MODERN RESTORATION FOR AN ELEGANT BUILDING
A residential building on Viale Bruno Buozzi, in Rome’s elegant Parioli district. The restoration was conceived with a contemporary approach, using high-performing materials while keeping colours close to the originals, so the building retains the elegance and refinement of its era.
The building was constructed in the late 1940s and had never undergone maintenance. Plaster was detaching across all façades and in the internal communal areas, and the finishes had become uneven.
The works included a full refurbishment of all façades and internal communal areas, with localised plaster repairs where required, skim coating and complete repainting. Externally, a soft yellow tone, very close to the existing colour, was selected to preserve the building’s original identity. The natural stone plinth was fully treated through a thorough cleaning process. The intervention was a conservation-led restoration.
We carried out the works with our technical studio ING. GABRIELE D’AMORE for the design stage, and our company AGL D’AMORE S.R.L. for delivery. The project took a total of 8 months.
