CONSERVATIVE RESTORATION
PARIOLI AREA, ROME (Italy)
SKILFUL RESTORATION FOR AN ELEGANT AND BRIGHT BUILDING
We carried out the restoration of a residential building in Via Archimede, Rome, in the prestigious Parioli district. The intervention was conceived with simplicity in mind: the white finish of the external surfaces enhances natural light and highlights the architectural rhythm of the balconies.
The building was constructed in the late 1950s and had undergone partial interventions over the years. It presented significant plaster detachment, with inconsistent colouring across the façades, resulting in an overall neglected appearance.
The works involved a complete refurbishment of all façades, including localised plaster repairs, surface levelling and full repainting in white. The natural stone at the base of the building was treated in its entirety, preserving its original material character. The intervention followed a conservative restoration approach.
The design phase was carried out by our technical studio ING. GABRIELE D’AMORE, while execution was managed by our construction company AGL D’AMORE S.R.L. The overall duration of the works was eight months.
